• Types of feed: - Energy-yielding feeds - Protein-yielding feeds 3. Feeding tools: - Troughs - Drinker set etc.

3. Animal pests and diseases control

• Farm animal diseases: a. Bacterial: - Mastitis - Contagious abortion in ruminant, pigs etc. b. Fungal: - Ring worm (call farm animals) c. Viral: - Foot and mouth disease (all animals except poultry) d. Protozoan: - Coccidiosis in poultry and rabbit - Trypanosomiasis (Nagana) (cattle)
