WEEK 1:

  • Theme 1 - Reading for maximum recall
  • Theme 2 - Highlighting supporting ideas
  • Theme 3 - The English Vowels
  • Theme 4 - Nouns
  • Theme 5 - Types of oral literature: Categories of written literature 

WEEK 2: 

  • Theme 1 - Reading from passages for maximum recall.
  • Theme 2 - Story or passage highlighting supporting ideas and arrangement of ideas in logical sequence.
  • Theme 3 - Adjectives.
  • Theme 4 - Consonant sounds.
  • Theme 5 - African and non- African tales: features and themes.

 

WEEK 3

  • Theme 1 - Identifying main and supporting idea
  • Theme 2 - Verbs
  • Theme 3 - Long and short vowels
  • Theme 4 - Didactic lessons of literature

 

WEEK 4: 

  • Theme 1 - Differentiating between main and supporting ideas in a given passage.
  • Theme 2 - Informal Letters
  • Theme 3 - Adjectives: types
  • Theme 4 - Sentences, paragraphs, passages, plays, poems.
  • Theme 5 - Consonants e.g. Black/Pack
  • Theme 6 - Folktales: entertainment, magical features 

 

WEEK 5:

  • Theme 1 - Positioning main ideas in a given passage.
  • Theme 2 - Informal letters- Guided Writing
  • Theme 3 - Pronouns
  • Theme 4 - Consonants clusters e.g. desk, asks, sickle
  • Theme 5 - African and non-African tales: fables, myths and legends. 

 

WEEK 6:

  • Theme 1 - Reading and answering specific questions on knowledge level.
  • Theme 2 - Formal letters
  • Theme 3 - Adverbs
  • Theme 4 - Listening to speeches on school, places of worship. 

 

WEEK 7: 

  • Theme 1 - Reading and answering specific questions- translation level
  • Theme 2 - Distinction between formal and informal letters
  • Theme 3 - Adverbs: other types
  • Theme 4 - Features/themes of myths and legends: magic, supernatural, superstition 

 

WEEK 8: 

  • Theme 1 - Reading and answering specific questions that addresses different kinds of questions on issues highlighting: interpretation level and projection level
  • Theme 2 - Narrative Prose
  • Theme 3 - Prepositions
  • Theme 4 - Reading and Analysis of One Week One Trouble 

 

WEEK 9:

  • Theme 1 - Writing an outline
  • Theme 2 -. Highlighting  the long and short vowel sounds.
  • The-me 3 - Types of prose:  descriptive, features and plot. 
  • Theme 4 - Parts of speech noun verbs and adjectives.
