  • Rounding off numbers to the nearest 10, 100, 1000

Week 2: Open Sentences

  • Use of letters to represent numbers
  • Distinguishing between open sentences and closed sentences
  • Supplying the missing numbers in open sentences from a set of given permissible substitutes 

Week 3: Simplifying Algebraic Expression

  • Identifying the coefficient of symbols or letter
  • Distinguishing algebraic expression from non-algebraic expression

Week 4: Simplifying Algebraic Expression Continues

  • Basic operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of algebraic symbols and terms.
  • Collection of like terms 

Week 5: Word Problems

  • Word problems involving use of symbols
  • Quantitative reasoning involving algebraic expression

Week 6: Simple Equation in One Variable

  • Identifying simple equations in one variable
  • Examples of three types of equality
  1. Absolute equality
  2. Referential equality
  3. Conditional equality 

Week 7: Directed Numbers

  • Use of number line
  • Addition and Subtraction of numbers using number line 

Week 8: Basic Properties of Some Common Three Dimensional Figures

  • Cylinders 

Week 9: Basic properties of some three dimensional shape continues
